Hard pass. Lowes always gives me a hard time about the lifetime warranty on Kobalt tools. They discontinue something and won't replace it with the new current model. "call Kobalt" is what customer service at the store says and then you're on hold for hours. I don't buy anything from that place anymore. Also, I guess this will probably work for people who don't have tools or know about tools, but there is SO much wasted space in the bottom drawer and "302 pieces" is click bait crap - how many of those 302 pieces are Allen wrenches and screwdriver bits? This kit would be a lot more attractive with less of that and more wrenches in the bottom drawer.
Good deal if needed and the metal clasps are an upgrade from previous years being plastic. The lid items will lose their hold with use over time. While tbe lid is shut, all is contained; once lifted.... it's a catch game to keep from losing an item.

I've never had an issue. I took a broken hammer in a few days ago and they just told me to grab another one.

Seems like a great price, I bought something similar a decade ago and have lost a bunch of stuff from it, looking at just buying socket sets are way more pricey, will steal from this set to make smaller sets for my van
I bought same set like 4-5 yrs ago. Im very happy w it, had just about everything except torx bits (only has t10,t15,t20). The clips suck, wouldn't want to travel with it, but in a garage just fine.

Looks like it's less than 200pc when you remove all the screwdriver bits, probably 150pc if you don't count the generous helping of allen wrenches.
The two times I tried to exchange a broken kobalt tool ( a pass through ratchet once and a ratcheting wrench another time.. I still have both broken wrenches) I couldn't because they either didn't make that exact wrench any more (the pass through ratchet had a new version and it was only available in a tool kit) or they didn't have that tool separate (the ratchet wrench was part of a kit...) .
Think I would just wait for the Harbor Freight 301-piece to go on sale as it does since it has not a single screwdriver bit though it does have probably about the same number of allen wrenches. And if you break one of their tools they will break open a kit if they have to.
Anyone want a free 20% off coupon to use with this or any other lowe's product up to $100 in savings? You need to use a Lowe's credit card with it or it doesn't work, but it's yours if you want. First come, first serve. It's only good for one purchase, so be quick if you want it.

Is an Allen wrench or screwdriver bit not a "piece"? I think it would be a stretch if they called it 302 tools, but I think calling it 302 pieces is fair.
