B&W are very fragile and are known to have QC issues. Look at the reviews, thousands of reviews and STILL has a 4/5. Read the negative reviews - durability and longevity of the product seem to be the biggest issues. If you have $100 to gamble on a pair of REFURB headphones already a generation old then you should have enough cash to get a S2 brand new with 4 years of warranty from Amazon for $150 more. At least you will have peace of mind, a brand new set of headphones no one else used, and if the mirade of issues occur then you can have them replaced by Asurion. Go read about the horror stories from cheaper headphones like Bose Ultra / Sony over the ears - if you dont have warranty you are shit out of luck even if it's manufacturers warranty.
