I purchased that exact video card from zotacusa 2 years ago. They sell refurbished cards as open box. I bought 2 and returned 1 due to cosmetic damage. I had nothing but trouble with the one I kept. It was very unstable and it's currently being worked on by northwestrepair for $275. I would definitely recommend paying a bit extra for a new card with 3 year warranty.
Probably a card that burned out at a data center being run 24/7. Buying any open box or refurbished GPU right now is insanely risky, especially at that level of discount. In fact, I bought a "new" 5070 TI from Amazon and they literally shipped me a used card and then made it a massive hassle to return it because I didn't film myself opening it. Scammers everywhere in the GPU market nowadays.
I bought an open box 3070Ti from them 2.5 years ago. It worked (and still does) perfectly until about 2 weeks ago when I got a new ZOTAC 5070Ti from Woot from a slickdeal here for $685.
i don't know the GPU price goes nowadays, but isn't 4070TI is more on the same level as regular 5070, which could be had for about 550 or less?
Yes, 4070Ti and 5070 are pretty close. If you wanted more VRAM you could step down to a 5060Ti with 16GB but you would lose a lot of performance even compared to the 4070Ti.
