I hate it too. I got a 2tb sn850x for 99 in october of 23 when I built my pc. Its now 480.
I hate it too. Got a 4TB Samsung 990 Pro for ~$178 on August 2024. Then got another one November 2024 for ~$208. Just looked it up in the Samsung shop app and they are $1099 each. Only if I would have know back then...would have bought like 20 of them. Oh well...Will stay put for now...otherwise decent price on this combo given the current time.

It looks nice and it's good enough for a simple build, but if you have plans beyond 1 GPU and 1 or 2 storage devices spend a little more.
