These are my go to, but the last two pairs I bought were really sticky, as in it wouldn't open on its own after pressing it closed... is there a fix?

Loosen the screw a little and/or hit it with some lubricant.

I really like the Fiskars gardening line. These work well and this is a decent price.

Fiskars tools are not what they used to be anymore. Got their tree pruner and loppers 15+ years ago. They still work great.

Brought this and their shears last year. They both suck. The shears can't cut branches 1/8" and larger. They get stuff between the blades. As for this bypass pruner, it doesn't open and close smoothly. The chrome paint(?) on the blade peeling off after several uses.

I have these. 9 bucks seems right. The locking mechanism engages all the time, it's annoying to use for any real work.

Cleaned mine with WD-40 and they sprang back open much better.

There are not good. The lock is super annoying and gets stuck over time. The cut is not smooth. Just spend double for a Sakagen F170 it'll last much much longer , more than twice as long.. I have at least 10 brands. These are probably the worst.

Used these today. It constantly locks itself after each cut. I want to like them but not great for real work.

These are terrible, don't close anymore after 5 uses. Somehow misaligned. Got replacement; has same problem within 2 uses. This has product level issue.

I've owned one for about 4 years now. The switch to lock does seem to get some resistance sometimes, starting this 4th year, but I've also never cleaned out the switch. Overall I've no complaints on actual use and would buy again if needed.

These are also my least favorite pruning shears. They are sticky no matter what you try and they don't cut as well as even a cheap pair I got from Aldi.

Good product but can get stuck. I shoot a little WD40 after every use
