Would not recommend this unless you are a paid subscriber. Can't use the app to arm it remotely without paying. With a sub you have to be in front of it to arm or disarm it.

There are a few tiers, but I have the $200 annual plan that was $100 for many years. They've added some new features to justify it, but it's cost competitive enough and we're all in on ring that it's been worth it.

Any recommendations since I have been ADT for 13 years and barely used any features besides during vacation to arm the house. Now it's $50 per month and was looking for something else more cost effective

I'd recommend it. We have been on ring for several years and very satisfied. Ring sensors can be brought for cheap on eBay or fb marketplace. To us $200 is peace of mind and we arm it every night. I have over 75 sensors across my home including water motion glass break etc.
