Save yourself the $80 and get the non-propelled version with identical battery. It's so light that there is no need for the assistance.

I bought the same item for $409 a few days ago, asked for a price adjustment, the agent did that for me, happy about the purchase

Only go for push, if your lawn is perfectly flat which is rarely the case. Even with small incline, you eventually feel the need to assist pushing but have no such option with push.

I bought the Greenworks push mower on exactly the same advise a few years ago, replacing a gas self-propel, and this was a stupid move. Still looking for decently priced self-propel 80V which this one definitely isn't.

There were 2-batteries Greenworks slef-propelled deals for under $300 in the past, but for now this is an OK deal.

Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank sleepybubba

Also, if you are MA resident, use $75 instant Masssave rebate: https://www.masssave.com/resident...nequipment. Comes in the form on instant, one time use coupon. Some cordless electric equipment shows on Lowes site with these rebates, others do not but the coupon worked on this mower for sure. $304+tax AC

Looks like the entire line on sale. Extra Battery is on sale for $79.

All my equipment is gasoline now. Anybody know about how long the batteries last before going bad? I live in a hot climate that tends to eat batteries for lunch. Even car batteries don't last more than about 3 years here.

They're warrantied for 3 years.

I'm in the Ego battery ecosystem, and have one 7.5Ah unit that went bad after about 2 years (it's not dead, but its overheat/overload protection activates somewhat randomly, and it won't always recharge correctly.) Customer service walked me through a quick troubleshooting procedure to confirm it was faulty, then shipped me a replacement.

All my others are still near original capacity after 3–5 Texas summers.

3-5 years depending on use. Keep your blades sharp, your deck clean, and mow more often. Tall, thick grass eats batteries very quickly.

Get an extra battery. Mine have deteriorated quickly. It now takes me 3 batteries to finish a yard that used to take one. This is the start of the third year owning the non-self propelled model.

I also bought it for $409 and was told I couldn't get a price adjustment. Did you do it at the store or online?

100% disagree.
There is always the need for assistance for a TON of people.
My yard is 100% hill. A push mower is terrible.
