Have this mower and frankly I don't like it much. Battery life is mediocre, power is also mediocre and it chokes on even slightly damp grass. When using the bagger attachment it gets clogged and often doesn't fill the bag, and the mulch setting doesn't have an ejection spout which causes wet grass to clump together around the blade which kills it frequently. The self-propelled system is the best I've used on a walk-behind mower but that's the only part about the thing I like.

I would highly recommend the Ryobi 40v brushless from Home Depot over this. The battery lasts about the same but batteries are way, way cheaper for the Ryobi so getting an extra doesn't run you much more than $60 (or even less sometimes). It has more power than the Ego even if on paper you would think 56v vs 40v means the 56v wins, it has decent self-propelled even if it isn't fully-variable like the Ego's, and the bagger and mulch settings just-plain work better all while being cheaper. Most importantly for me is that it doesn't clog up even half as bad as the Ego with wet grass.

I got this first and then got the 1100+ (the power and cut quality) is in a different world. This is a good deal yes, but you get why you pay for. The 1100 on sale with the 10ah battery is the go to unless you go sit on

LoL, the Ryobi mower I have chokes a lot. I am thinking of switching to a different brand.

The usability on the ego is better than Ryobi. Pros and cons for both depending on the model. But the little things on the ego like convenience of folding wins for me. If you have a medium to small lawn, and you don't let the grass get too long, then ego is great.

I bet you don't even know what model you have, or that there are numerous models with different voltages/power configurations and motors. Does it have a brushless motor or not? Generalizing about a brand because of a model you bought without knowing anything about it doesn't mean anything.
