I wonder how long the battery will last now on a 5ah. 5min?

So does this make any sense buying solo, vs the $379 for the 2 x 4ah batteries? We ever get deals for two of those batteries less than $140? All I have is a 2.5AH that won't cut it obviously.

Here's the part I find monumentally stupid with any battery-powered device: Everything they add to these things that uses battery power that isn't directly related to it's functional purpose. That damn digital readout is probably the stupidest possible "upgrade" imaginable.

I have the 765CFM previous "top of the line" version, and a 5ah battery can go for nearly 30 minutes combined as long as I'm not going full ham on it. The battery itself has a pretty decent "life meter" on it already. Who the hell is asking for this stupid readout that is eating battery power?!? Add to that, the 765CFM version has the same "mph" rating of nearly 200mph, so I don't know if this model will catch on.

And like another poster already pointed out, the two 4ah batteries and charger that are included with the kit make this a far, far better value that a "tool only" option.

I've used 2.5ah batteries in my ego blower(s) in the past, and they're good for smaller, shorter tasks as long as you don't pin the trigger back the entire time on the blower. I wouldn't use them for, say, my entire 1/2 acre property. And it can't be overstated how much lighter and easier it is to use the entire unit is with a 2.5ah vs a 5ah. After half a day with the 5ah, it feels like you're lugging around a small car battery.

Yeh this will mainly be used for one tree in the yard to the curb. Regardless, the full battery package just makes more sense anyhow.

Purely from a financial standpoint, I 100% agree.
