I had no problem getting my rebate but that was 18 months or so ago, things may have changed.
For better or worse, the TM GW not being bridged has an advantage during power outages too. I can power on only the TW GW via USBC from any number of power sources and get internet access in parts of the house by connecting directly to the TM GW wireless bypassing all of my powered down stuff/servers/router/local network stuff etc until power comes back.

at first it was ok, slight slow in the afternoon. last year it was just noticeably slow few times a month, end of the year we emailed our rep and it took multiple emails for him to finally send us a 5th gen gateway, when it came it was still meh, and when we checked, now there are three tiers of service, the higher one being $70 for the faster service and our $50 is now just the basics.
we just end up ordering mint with a year of cell service for $540 which is even cheaper than T-Mobile, mint sent us a 4th gen gateway, I tested it and mint's 4th gen gateway was 10-20% faster than the 5th gen gateway T-Mobile provided. my point is, just get mint, for cheaper.
no streaming, just really need it for my ring camera and occasional browsing.
