I jumped. It's going to be an upgrade to my c1 77", and the price is right. Not getting rid of my c1, though, it's still wonderful.

The C4 is much dimmer which it will be fine in a dark room but in 1 1/2 it might be too dim.
To some people the brightness is fine. I personally prefer a little head-room.
LG doesn't use any QD-OLED panels. That's a Samsung thing (and then some Sony, and I believe maybe Philips also). LG uses WOLED only.

Also, for LG OLEDs, their lowest-end model is the B series, so the C series should always be brighter (for the same generation). The G series is their flagship series (and I guess the M series is equivalent to G).

If you are in no hurry, you will get it. I got the 83 B4 from Costco for less than $1500 when they cleared it out. TV is amazing. Nothing beats size for immersive viewing.
