Can this create vlan without messing network, anyone with experience? It says configure vlans but one I had before was extremely complicated, pain in the neck to manage them, you needed a degree in I.T. Is this any better?

What the heck is with the price... How is this a deal... I get that this is a name brand switch but literally over 2.5X cost of a no name that does all the same things. For this price I could get a full 10Gig switch with at least 8 ports if I looked hard enough.

Example of a no name brand for a poultry $50 or cheaper depending if you have the coupon clip.

With only one 10gb port, I wouldn't call that a "full 10Gig switch". It's a 2.5gb switch with one 10g port.

I was matching up to this deal with my example not a full 10Gig Switch which I said would cost me as much as this one or cheaper if I looked hard enough. Sorry that was not clear enough.

But if you must, here you go a full 10Gig managed switch for $113 after coupon code. Also if I recall correctly this brand was reviewed positively by a few youtubers including ServeTheHome.

I love how cheap this stuff has become when you let in China/Asia competition on the market....

With the one you linked, you'd still have to purchase 8 ports worth of SFP-to-RJ45 transceivers to use it fully.

Very few 10GBase switches come with RJ45 as standard and the ones that do cost more than 3X this amount. With the one I linked you can spend the $10-15 whenever you want to add another 10Gig base item. A lot of people like me who work in networking have tons of transceivers just sitting around too.

I recently got this switch but I'm planning on returning it. Every time I restart the router, it loses connectivity with the switch although in the GUI it shows it is connected to the router. I have tried few things including disabling loop prevention and setting a static IP for the switch. I can access the switch's management UI and restart it from there to restore connectivity. The switch is on the latest firmware. If anyone has an idea how to solve the issue let me know.
