This reminds me of the Morakniv fixed blade.

Cold Steel is great for camping needs, but this one is too large for an EDC. Versatile and firm grip with wedge tang.

That was my thought too- I like the Morakniv a lot, tempted to try this one and compare
AI says...
Cold Steel Outdoorsman Lite (4116 Stainless Steel)
Best For: General outdoor, light survival, hunting, and food prep due to its larger size and stainless steel.
Pros: Very comfortable, secure, and grippy handle (Kray-Ex); durable 6-inch blade with a "bone breaker" feature.
Cons: 4116 steel requires frequent sharpening; cheaper-feeling plastic sheath.
Durability: Good for light to medium tasks, but the 4116 steel can chip during abuse.

Morakniv (e.g., Companion/Companion Heavy Duty)
Best For: Bushcraft, woodworking, fire prep, and carving.
Pros: Exceptionally sharp, superior Scandi grind, holds an edge longer, comfortable, and often much cheaper.
Cons: The stainless steel models are generally shorter than 6", and the traditional carbon models can rust.
Durability: High. Known for being "indestructible" for their price point, particularly the Heavy Duty models.

Key Comparison Points:
Cutting Ability: The Cold Steel is better for general use/food prep, while the Morakniv shines in wood processing and rope cutting.
Handling: Cold Steel's rubberized handle feels more secure in wet conditions, whereas Mora's handle is better for prolonged, comfortable use.
Sheath: Morakniv's sheath is generally preferred for its simplicity and superior retention.
Value: Morakniv is widely viewed as offering higher quality, better-performing steel for the price (usually under $20-$30).

If you need a larger knife for chopping or hunting in a wet environment, choose the Cold Steel Outdoorsman Lite. If you are doing bushcraft, camping, or woodcarving, choose a Morakniv.

One thing about the Morakniv is the blade is pretty thin. This one appears to have a thicker blade so maybe it can be used for more heavy duty bushcraft work.

This AI take is totally wrong.

"Cutting Ability: The Cold Steel is better for general use/food prep, while the Morakniv shines in wood processing and rope cutting."

This is backwards. The thicker blade on the Cold Steel is better for wood processing and rope cutting. The Morakniv's thinner blade is better for general use / food prep.
