This is backwards. The thicker blade on the Cold Steel is better for wood processing and rope cutting. The Morakniv's thinner blade is better for general use / food prep.

I've used the hell out of Mora Companions with both types of blades and would strongly recommend either to anyone looking for a good camp knife. If they need something a little more substantial, I'd recommend checking out the Mora Garberg, ESEE 5, or Kabar BK series.
This knife would probably be OK, but Mora Companions are likely at least as good or better for about half the cost of this deal: I've seen them as cheap as $10 but the norm usually closer to $15-25. Last time they were on sale I picked up like 3 of them for $12 to give out as gifts.
