$31.99 for me. . . not a deal. Lost a hibiscus this winter (inside). The one next to it survived. I like to think it wasn't me, but it was probably me!!

They're tough to keep alive in the winter. They want full sun, but can survive in a east or west facing window. Being tropical, they don't like it drafty and dry, which is hard to avoid when drying with most HVAC systems. I keep my hibiscus and other tropical stuff in a east facing window with a humidifier near by. They do their growing outside during the summer, and limp along throughout the winter here in Charlotte, NC.

As mentioned, this really isn't a deal. I love Costa Farms with the decorative pots that isn't included here, but you can find a hibiscus like this locally for cheaper.

That was what was so odd. They were by an East facing window and they seemed to do well in an enclosed porch kept to 50+ degrees. If not, even better. They were gorgeous (tons of blooms) the past years. Not sure why one did not, but I probably should have paid more attention when it got really cold this winter. I haven't given up on it yet! I will put it outside (when we get out of 35 +/- degree nights) 🙄 and see what happens. (and look for another Costa deal!) 😀 Most of the plants I have ordered have been great!!!
