Pretty good deal but I wouldn't buy this without a warranty. I bought refurbished last year for $340 and it got a dead pixel in the inner screen a few months later. Luckily I had the eBay warranty and got refunded.

I got this phone during the last woot deal. Surprisingly awesome phone. It is quite heavy, for obvious reasons.

I've been kicking around a fold. My job presents many opportunities to display whatever. Did some quick research and surprised there were many still using it in 26.

For first foray, and open box not refurbished, taking a chance

They actually did not let me keep it. Had me send it in, but it's alright. I got the 10 Fold. It would have been nice to keep it since I really liked it.

also it was more than a dot. it looked like a camera hole punch lol.

There are two models of the original Pixel Fold from 2023 so there are two separate listings at Woot!, the GA04102-US5G and the GA04108-US trying to examine the difference online it seems that the former is the model that was sold to the US carriers and could potentially be bootloader locked permanently and the latter model has an unlockable bootloader. However, nothing I have read seems to be at all definitive on that. Can anyone else speak to this or find better information on the two different models? An unlocked bootloader would let a user load an alternative software like LineageOS or GrapheneOS on it with the latest Android OS and security updates.

From some quick research:
  • This listing, which is sold out now, is for model #GA04411-US256GB (see attached screenshot), which appears to be the OEM unlocked model as far as I can find.
  • The other listing is for model #GA04108-US as you described above, and appears to be originally the T-Mobile model, but is sold on Woot as Unlocked.

If anyone can find something to correct me, please reply and let us know.

This was the listing for the one I mentioned https://sellout.woot.com/offers/g...t_elec_9_1 4102 model that seemed likely to be the unlockable bootloader. It's sold out now, but the other model 4108 is still available here: https://sellout.woot.com/offers/g..._elec_9_11 This latter seems to be the carrier shipped model to Verizon and AT&T.

With unlockable bootloader you can run lineageos on it.
