Agreed. QA started out as a high price-to-performance company but nowadays they seem to be using a "Veblen goods" inflate-to-impress pricing strategy. $1300 can buy you any number of far better speakers, including towers if desired.

Yeah, I'm sure these are an upgrade over my 3020s, but I got them for under $300 shipped! Can't imagine they sound 4x better. lol

Those first gen QA speakers were fantastic---clear and accurate but non-fatiguing. The second gen "i" series were a touch more forward/bright. The current 3rd gen are not only overpriced, but have even more of a V-shaped EQ curve from what I've read.
