If I traveled more would I spend a 20 spot to have the 4G functionality? Sure, it'd be worth it depending on how long I can hang onto the code so I can fire it off when necessary.
There are times when my 5G phone hotspot just isn't cutting it and I'm in the soup, and I just need a trickle of data to get through the issue. Having this in my bag as a battery first and foremost and that parachute pull as a secondary is worth the 20 bucks IMO.
But is that for US only? Or international? Like I'd completely pick this up for a trip abroad as the promo data is far more valuable than the battery itself IMO.
Also, looking at the pricing plans, day rates seem to win out over all other rates most of the time. Weird.
It's so very easy and cheap to buy an esim and load it onto a spare phone. That's way more reliable than this thing. The network speeds on this thing seems horrible, because they're using the trash bin cellular chip with limited channel support.

I main a US iPhone so am stuck with esim regardless, and I don't travel enough to cart around a burner, but I always have at least x2 power bricks with me. What I find is that I may be stuck in a hotel where my phone isn't doing it, but another device does cut it for whatever reason. ...and most of the day rates on this thing is 5 to 6 USD for 4GB so after I burn through the promo offering, that's not a bad deal IMO.
The 30 bucks for 20gb over a month or whatever is for those relying on a device like this for a week or a month at a time and that's bad value all around, but I wouldn't be using it for that. Just to get out of of a situation for a few hours or a day or two in certain circumstances seems on a long trip - everything else I'd sling from my phone hotspot.
