FWIW - I bought these one of the many times they've been listed for $99 and was not impressed at all. Very tinny sound, even with the bass cranked up to the max. My old Logitech's still sound better than them so these got returned.

Took a chance and purchased a set of saiyin bookshelf speakers over the edifiers. These were going on my sunporch, so I was looking for something inexpensive in case the temperature swings kill the speakers. For $80 (regularly has a $10 off coupon) you get 100 watts of power(or so they say), 5 1/4 inch woofer and 65mm horn dome tweeter (just a 1 inch tweeter with a horned housing), front port so you can put these closer to the wall, all you normal inputs (3.5mm, rca, coax, optical and bluetooth), a subwoofer out and a remote that does everything. The bass is phenomenal on these things. Tight and not too boomy. The highs are where you need to do a little eqing. They can get a little shouty. Definitely recommended.

These compared to those would leave you disappointed for sure. Both the sound quality and the loudness will be better on your ProMedia's.

I can agree with this, they're fine for desktop computer use and bluetooth. They aren't gonna blow you away though. Might be better options for a little bit more $. I kept mine, though.

Lmao. You don't know what studio monitor speakers are. These are meant for audio engineering. They are supposed to be flat, because you don't want extra bass when recording and mixing audio. You need to hear the sound exactly as it is when recorded. These aren't meant for gaming and watching movies or shows. Please educate yourself before bashing something.
