couple observations for the GrandTeton-Ultra-----a fairly well spec'd ebike for the $$

-web site doesn't say Bafang, says Ananda@ M100 Mid Drive Motor, Output 500W (Peak 760W), Torque 130N.m either way a mid drive system is a big plus,

-great torque spec but some sources state 110 N.m of torque not 130nm, still good though, maybe a newer version?

-14.7Ah samsung cells (samsungs are pretty darn good, no name cells are a roll of the dice at best)

-hardtail..ie no rear suspension (fine unless offroad and even then ok if you know how to ride it)

-i have the tektro 4 piston brakes on my current ebike and they work!

-figure half of the stated range (at most) for pretty much every ebike including this, pretty much every ebike overstates range, plus there are a lot of factors like rider wt, elevation change, terrain, speed etc

jm2cw of course but overall well spec'd for the money.

A couple other things of note it has One-Click Dropper Seatpost, Travel 150 mm, and TBOX Smart Module with GPS, Auto-Unlock & SOS module.

A dropper is definitely cool especially stock.. not exactly sure what the other things are though.

Edit: When paired with Vanpowers' Vanlife E-Bike app, TBOX supports Geofensing Alert, Smart Proximity Unlock, SOS Detection, Find My Bike, as well as audio notification and vibration sensitivity adjustments. Enjoy all TBOX smart features free for the first year; starting from the second year, continue your subscription for just $29.90 annually.

None in rear...hence hardtail. Front shows Air shock but no name so who knows...undoubtedly chinesium which could be ok but you.never know until you get it.

It's been a hot minute since I was into bike specs etc. The electric bike offerings have me completely overwhelmed.

One thing I did know about quality.

Good manufacturers know how important fit is to a cyclist. Anyone selling a one size fits all or "most" is a flapping RED flag.

Looks like a fat e-bike. How good is something like this for commuting in a city?

It would be fine, but this is more of a commuter style bike, lighter, narrower tires. https://www.vanpowers.com/product...8176088317

Have been seing these models on sale for a while now. Specs are good, but could not find any reviews for any of the Vanpowers models. Good or even bad! Anybody here have any insights on quality and customer service?

i think/suspect most e bikes well alot of them anyway (not the better high end stuff) are probably manufactured at one of a few locations.... frames alot most of them made at xyz plant in china, motors made in efg plant in china. etc.

So Mr. Smith wants to make ebikes so he buys 10000 frames, 10000 motors,10000 brake systems etc and slaps them together like a lego house. sets up a website and does direct to consumer.

As long as YOU are going over it and checking everything you'll probably be fine. the warranty (if there is one) isnt worth the paper its written on and local bike shops aren't going to risk liability fixing them. For me i look at the components first at this level. of course that involves research so theres no completely free lunch.

Unless i'm looking for high end well established bike company bike thats a different thing than these kinds of bikes. Those higher end bikes companies have done the research for you and charge you for it.

Generally speaking this level of bike has a higher "bang for buck" ratio than the higher end stuff especially when on sale like this. Of course YMMV. Big Grin

This Deal is still going I ordered the The GrandTeton Pro last night and was happy to see no tax and Free shipping
Total was $899 just like they said.
I did a lot of reading and research and you just can't find another bike with these specs at this price.
https://www.reddit.com/r/vanpowers/
I was really torn between the UrbanGlide Ultra and the bigger Grand Teton Pro, but after all the reviews and videos I decided the Fat tires where the better option for me in Florida.
Fantastic deal thanks again for Posting

Just a heads up. I bought this last week, but have not seen movement on the order. It appears they were out of stock of the model/color.

All over the internet I'm finding that people can't reach their customer service, can't register their bike, etc.

Speculation is that this is a fire sale as they go out of business or pull out of the US market.

Good deal, but buyer beware and all that.

I got an email FedEx shipping update set for today. It shipped from Ga to Fla so shouldn't take long. (GrandTeton Pro in Silver)
I sure hope they stick around, it would be a shame to see them go.
Edit: Bike came Thursday, box was a little rough but the Bike is perfect. They really go all out with the packing. Took me 2 hrs total to unpack, assemble and register with the App. Took a short ride and it's all good. Really glad I got this and at a great price.
