I have an 18-in Husqy that is probably 25 years old that I use maybe every other year. When I need it I put fresh gas in and within three pulls it's running. I never once had an issue starting this saw. P.S. I WON THE SD DAILY DRAW FOR 4/21!! YAY ME!

Every Echo tool I've used has been junk, but I haven't touched an Echo in 5 or 6 years fwiw.

echo pro models are every bit as good as stihl or husquavarna. the only difference is brand loyalty.

the difference is that their consumer grade line is a step below the stihl or husqavarna consumer grade line.

you cant just compare brand to brand, or model to brand. each of the big 3 brands have low end consumer grade, to mid consumer grade, to farm/ranch grade, to pro grade. some brands excel at smaller saws while some excel at larger saws. for a saw this size, id go with an echo 3410. the husq 4 series arent that great.

fyi, the same saw as OP is on sale at tractor supply if you would want to go put your hands on it before you buy it.

and just so i dont sound like an echo fanboy or anything, my saw in this bar length is the stihl 261. its a significant price jump, but it will blow all saws mentioned out of the water. i also own a husky that lives at camp and an echo 2511 top handle.
