If you only need a saw to clear fallen limbs and some storm damage from time, a 16" bar will be just fine. The extra 2" on a saw doesn't make a huge difference in those situations. If you're looking to buck up firewood, I'd get a bigger engine. Minimum 50cc and a 20" bar.

For the average homeowner, this saw will probably do everything you need to do with ease.

Great saw, punches above its weight. Great for limbing and storm cleanup. I've had one for years that has been beat on and buried in hardwood where I really should have grabbed one of my bigger saws and it keeps going.

Thats a good deal for a smaller size saw. Im partial to echo and like the 50cc-60cc saws.
Got a Timberwolf and love it.
