Correct. The battery costs almost the same as the unit itself. Buying the cooler and battery is $299 +Shipping using coupon above.

$166 for that - not included - tiny capacity lithium battery is madness. For similar money you could buy a full size standard 12 volt battery with SEVEN times the capacity.

Better to buy a highly rated, also 19qt EUHOMY fridge, regularly $134 and skip the wasted battery slot space in the package.

And if you want real battery capacity, but don't wish to power it with your car (only while engine running), or portable power bank (using the 12 volt socket for much better efficiency), get a full size battery, a plastic box and mount a fused cigarette socket in it. If you believe their 8.5 hour claim with their 173Wh battery, you'll instead get 2.5 days of runtime.
