From the same seller (Verizon Value) - 2 pack of the Moto G Power 2024 model with the 1 year plan for $89.99 - mentioned on this thread : https://slickdeals.net/f/19449798-tracfone-motorola-moto-g-stylus-5g-8-128gb-2024-xt2419v-1500min-1500txt-1500mb-annual-prepaid-plan-79-99-at-verizon-value-via-ebay?src=category_page
Direct link to the ebay page for the Moto G Power : https://www.ebay.com/itm/28719113...SwMQhprxX5
2024 model : Better CPU (Dimensity 7020 vs Dimensity 6300); most other features are the same. While yes, the additional Android upgrades are a difference - do you expect to keep a budget phone for multiple years? And that upgrade is nothing compared to Pixel and Samsung upgrade offers.

Sharing your experience and knowledge with us that are less exposed is very helpful and much appreciated. I have a 2022 Moto G Power that I like a lot but the battery is starting to fade so I will jump on the 2 pk 2024 model later this year and hopefully the price will continue to decrease.

Curious if the same number can be used to both lines to harvest the minutes. If I recall, the phone will not unlock if you remove the sim during the year.

I agree with you on the better CPU. I am not sure whether you read any other posts, but there are few members who are buying the phone for the seniors who might keep the phone for couple of years and that is beneficial for them. That is the reason for posting here. Otherwise we do not need to worry about the low end phones.
Moto sends out 1 OS upgrade + 3 years of security patches (2024 from Android 14; 2025 from Android 15). Any upgrade and security patches definitely help. 2024 may not receive any updates after 2026. Some apps might move on and may not work on 2024.

Having helped a few seniors with getting phones / set up etc; most of them do not welcome "changes", are quite willing to keep using their existing phones set up; most of them don't use many "apps" and don't run into any issues keeping their older phones running. For those on a tight budget - getting 2 years phone service instead of one beats getting additional updates .
On the flip side - if OS updates are critical - Verizon Value has a Samsung A16 bundle at the same $99 (https://www.ebay.com/itm/287162279421) : 6 years of OS and security updates as per Samsung announcements. Better CPU (Exynos 1330 vs Dimensity 6300)
I like Motorola phones; many of them are good deals. I'm specifically commenting on the G Power 2025, which was a step back from the predecessor.

Yes. Require 1 year service to unlock, according to the unlock policy

Yes. You'd activate service on Phone #1; then transfer it to Phone #2.
Note that Phone 1 won't be eligible for unlock, since it won't complete 1 year of service.
Phone 2 can get unlocked; but TF may tie the unlock date to the second year of service, since that is the "native" service on the device.
