Last Sunday I was in a TMobile store to get a sim card, but this unique TCL NXTPAPER 70 Pro got my attention while I was waiting and I decided to upgrade my backup phone to it. 3 days after, I'm actually impressed enough to consider making it my primary device!
Why it stands out:
That Screen - If you prefer a matte finish over a glossy one, this is it. It's large, non-reflective, and doesn't pick up those annoying glares.
Ink-Paper Mode: There's a dedicated switch that turns the display into an "E-ink" paper mode. It makes long reading sessions so much easier on the eyes.
Insane Value: At a list price of $199.99 (128GB), it's a steal. Many of us can even get it for free with a basic plan or a new line from T-Mobile.
Still powerful - I don't play games on the phone so so far it runs smoothly.

Hesitations:
Because of the unique texture, I'm not sure how scratch-resistant the screen will be long-term.
128G memory is a bit tight.
It's still a new model so there might be quirks not discovered yet.

Overall I'm pretty happy with it and again the screen is an eye-catcher.

It has a micro SD slot that can support upto 2TB additional storage, so storage won't be an issue

The U.S. version is exclusive to T-Mobile and Metro.

It's a shared slot for sim card and memory card.

I posted this same deal here couple weeks ago but system marked it expired for some reason

Solid phone and the trade in any condition deal still works to get it for free. Dual SIM or 1 Physical + 1 eSIM + microSD, and the phone has normal IP68 water resistance too.

Got fl-41 tint glasses and don't have glare or eye strain problems and my migraines went away, 23 bucks shipped from. Online for tinted glasses that helped vs a 200 phone I'll get the glasses. YMMV but they helped me even with migraines too.

I also got it for free with the current Tmobile promotion. Would a tempered glass affect the quality of the screen?

Thinking of using one for a music player and an e-reader

It has textured glass and a matte finish, so I would say yes. Might add glare.

What's their unlock timing like? I'm on Tello but I've had my eye on these phones.

Metro, so 1 year from when you activate it. It does not have to be 1 year of paid service like boost mobile requires.

I have a NXTPAPER 50 XL and stupidly put a tempered glass screen protector on it. It added glare LOL
