First time posting a deal. Best Buy dropped the price of "Fair" condition LG G5 55" TVs down to $738.99 AND they're including a $100 gift card, which makes this around $638.99. This is an incredible deal for one of the best TVs on the planet! Thought some gamers looking for a midsize TV would be happy with this deal! Needed a replacement right away and this one fit perfectly. The store rep didn't believe me when I showed the online price. They had it a little over $1150 at sticker price (discounted).

How was the tv condition considering it was the fair open box? How many hours was it used? I wonder if these fair condition open boxes are the floor models. Did it have all the accessories including the wall mount?

ordered a "good" condition for $780 + tax and comes with the $100 gift card. Will pick up this weekend assuming it doesn't get canceled.

Last month, I purchased a "good" Samsung 55" S95F for about $800.

After bringing the unit home, I discovered that the unit did not have power cords, a remote, a One Connect box etc., so I had to haul my ass back to Best Buy to return the item. I could not turn on the unit because the One Connect box was missing. I am staying away from Best Buy open box units.

Wasted a couple of hours of my life.

It's too big for work monitor IMO. Unless you're sitting very far away but you'd have to head swivel too much.

That's pretty sweet. I'm in the market for a bedroom TV. Some of the local Costcos still have the B5 65 inch for $799 with warranty. The closest store only has the floor model. I'm heading over to another store tonight that reportedly still has in box. If they don't, it seems some local Best Buys still have this deal. Don't ask my location, I don't want competition 😂

But if you have advice buying open box from Costco, please share.

Personal preference. I have used a 48" as a work monitor for years and love it, despite people constantly telling me it was a bad experience.

Wow can't believe there was one available in my area. Now I don't actually need a new tv… but we've intentionally not put one in the bedroom. Decision decision
