Hello all,

First time posting a deal. Best Buy dropped the price of "Fair" condition LG G5 55" TVs down to $738.99 AND they're including a $100 gift card, which makes this around $638.99. This is an incredible deal for one of the best TVs on the planet! Thought some gamers looking for a midsize TV would be happy with this deal! If you have Best Buy Total Membership, you get 2 free years of warranty including burn-in protection (which is a non-issue IMHO).

Enjoy!

Community Reviews

This open box LG G5 55 inch OLED deal stands out for a very low price with a $100 gift card, and the panel itself can look excellent when the unit is in good shape. Several pickups came with low hours, clean screens, and usable remotes or wall mounts, and the G5 brightness was praised as a big upgrade. The main risk is condition roulette, with some display units showing 5,000 to 6,000 hours, missing accessories, or visible burn in. Checking hours and powering it on in store is the safest way to judge whether the specific unit is worth the trip.

Last month, I purchased a "good" Samsung 55" S95F for about $800. After bringing the unit home, I discovered that the unit did not have power cords, a remote, a One Connect box etc., so I had to haul my ass back to Best Buy to return the item. I could not turn on the unit because the One Connect box was missing. I am staying away from Best Buy open box units. Wasted a couple of hours of my life.
I've had some great hauls from BB open box, but just as many duds. I had an "excellent" condition sound bar that was missing the entire sound bar (lol) and a "fair" condition one that had everything brand new, just missing the box. You need to check before you take it home.

I had fair and good condition at my Best Buy. Took a chance. G5 in store mode for 5k hours is risky risky. Gonna turn it on and check hours before it leaves the store. At this price it's worth the stop on the way home from work.

Called my local Best Buy to confirm the condition before placing the order. The agent said it was missing the remote, stand (which is expected for a G5 I believe), and original packaging but that it had been repackaged in a new box. I placed the order.

I get to the store and there's no box. The employee that helped me flat out said customer service is overseas and they do this constantly where they lie about the condition of the things in store.

I placed an order in an open box G5 near me. What should I be checking before taking it out of the store? As others have mentioned, it's worth getting the 5 year warranty in this TV but not sure if there's discount for plus members

It's too big for work monitor IMO. Unless you're sitting very far away but you'd have to head swivel too much.
I do. Been using a 55" c9 for the last 7 years. Yes it's huge, but I've adjusted.

$739 "fair" said scratch and residue- 39 hours on it no scratches and residue was some kind of oil that came right off. Deal of the decade!
