Anything requiring a driver probably won't work. You may get lucky with a basic device like a webcam that typically uses built-in Windows drivers. I don't believe the emulators work on drivers at all.
As far as emulated x86 and x64 programs, a lot of smaller programs work fine. Multi-gigabyte programs like Solidworks don't stand a chance. Turbotax doesn't work. Fusion 360 kind of works, some modules just don't work or crash the program, others work fine. There are a lot of websites that list programs as ARM compatible, but for some reason many of these simply don't work and I don't know what these websites get out of adding them to the list.
I suggest buying a Snapdragon laptop as a toy. See what works, what doesn't, what the advantages and disadvantages are. Ask software suppliers for nice compatible and efficient ARM versions of their programs. Do not expect to buy one of these as a replacement for an x86/x64 computer, at least not for a while. Apple switched everything to ARM. Microsoft is pushing toward ARM. ARM is the future, but it's not the present.
PS: This site actually takes you to ARM compatible download pages, it doesn't just say things work on ARM.

Community Reviews
This Yoga Slim 7x stands out as a thin, light Windows laptop with excellent battery life, a gorgeous 14 inch OLED touch screen, and strong everyday responsiveness. It is praised for office work, web browsing, streaming, and light creative tasks, with some reports that DaVinci Resolve, Photoshop, Steam, and even a few games run well. The main caution is Windows on ARM compatibility, especially for drivers, printers, USB peripherals, niche apps, and some developer tools. It feels best suited to general use and portability, not demanding software or hardware-heavy workflows.
office workers and remote developers who mainly do web browsing, email, and light coding in tools like VS Code because commenters say it's great for office/web/remote dev use cases and they've seen strong battery life and responsiveness.
people who want a MacBook Air replacement for everyday apps because at this price commenters call it an "absolute steal," report no compatibility issues for their daily apps, and say it works like a normal laptop for them.
touch-first users who prioritize portability and standby battery life because commenters specifically recommend it "as long as you're a touch tech-y," and report wonderful standby/battery performance on the Snapdragon/ARM model.
gamers who aren't chasing FPS esports titles because commenters report they can play games like Phasmophobia and Balatro with no issues (while noting it gets hotter than a MacBook when gaming).
video editors who use DaVinci Resolve because one commenter says DaVinci works perfectly on this ARM64 laptop and that Qualcomm worked with major video editors (including Adobe) to get them working seamlessly.
buyers who need lots of x86 software or developer tooling because commenters warn that Windows on ARM can be a nightmare if you're a dev or need many applications, and that developer tools may be slow or not run smoothly.
users who depend on niche engineering/domain apps or heavier GPU-driven workflows because commenters say multi-gigabyte apps like Solidworks don't stand a chance and that specific engineering/domain applications may not be the best choice due to Windows-on-ARM limitations and low-end GPU.
people who want to use ARM Windows for GPU-using photo/video editors that depend on specific GPU/driver behavior because commenters specifically call out concerns about how well ARM Windows runs apps that utilize the GPU and mention issues like YouTube video decoding stuttering on their device.
people who rely on fingerprint login because one commenter says there's no fingerprint scanner and that's a dealbreaker for them since they frequently use it to log into websites.
people who need reliable USB peripheral support (especially via USB rather than Bluetooth) because commenters report ARM becomes problematic when connecting devices via USB due to lack of driver availability.
buyers who need ARM-compatible drivers for printers/scanners beyond basic functionality because commenters describe limited driver support and say some printers/scanners may only work with basic functionality while other devices (like an external webcam) may not.

Bought mine a year ago. Battery life is insanely good. Screen is gorgeous! Haven't had a single driver issue. Very happy with mine!
Really would like to purchase this.
But as others have mentioned compatibility is still growing. Many companies have since released native versions of apps, while others just won't work. (VMware for instance) Many developer tolls are slow still not running smoothly, if they can at all. Most nearly every major consumer app either works thru translation or has a native version now. We're at least a few more years out to be parity with x86, but if you're not a developer, chances are you may never run across any issues.
Just read what IT professionals say about current Windows on ARM devices.

x86 is just dead for laptops. and its for good reason.
Also you saying x86 is dead is completely wrong, as you clearly have no idea how ISA's work. x86 compared to ARM has a very very small penalty. The SOLE reason why Qualcomm, Apple, etc dont use x86 was because they dont have a license to, and they cannot buy one either, leaving them to use ARM or RISC-V.
For actual work and gaming, Intel's Panther Lake is better for compatibility, reliability and performance compared to this specific chip. Some people cant even use their PRINTERS because their is no driver for ARM... Let alone play most games without issues, among other problems.

Also, comparing completely different devices.
I'm typing this on an arm windows laptop right now (vivobook x1plus) it's absolutely fine, and I'm a power user, I teach 3d art with this laptop 99.9% of software runs perfectly, also use it for games, and works great with gamepass as of a year ago now (they used to only allow streaming now you can install anything)
battery is great, and they tend to come paired with incredible screens (120 hz oled on a laptop this cheap is a dream)
