Also, none of the outdoor gear shops let you return items , usually.
It's very hard to compete against the giants.
I haven't needed to return something unless there was something genuinely wrong with it. I don't know what someone is doing buying something, using it for a year, and then returning it? That seems incredibly dishonest.
This is not a pro or anti-union comment, I'm just saying that I think you're misunderstanding the intention of the comment you're replying to
