Do these still have 1 year validity before expiring if not activated?

Could be good if you're hopping between carriers, 3 months is enough to get "new customer" signup deals.

I switched my family to Mint a while back. I never got the sign up promised reward. 10+ calls later, I gave up. I tried to switch away from Mint and found out they hold your account number from you to prevent you from leaving. You're required to call, speak to multiple people, give reasons for leaving..etc. After a 30 minute phonecall I got our account numbers and could leave. Ridiculous. Service was fine, but I won't go back and don't recommend them.

Mint website says "Plan must be activated within 45 days"; otherwise the value is forfeited?

Mint has the absolute worst customer service. Hope you never need it. Talk to a chatbot or a foreign call center that apparently equips their staff with $3 headsets. And the staff will lie, blaming problems with your phones provisioning on a 'local tower problems' while the person next to you on a tmobile phone has a great connection.

- a recent and soon to be former mint customer.

I don't know if any Mobile company that doesn't have problems.. especially with customer service.

You can have the most expensive carrier and still have problems.

I personally have Mint for 4 years and no problems so far.
