totally apple to orange. Shokz openrun pro is open style -- you will hear anything around you besides music, your ears stay open. The Bose one is to block all the sounds from the outside so you can focus on your music.

I picked up a set of these refurb'd by bose (woot deal) not too long ago. Excellent earbuds. Not much of a difference between gen 1 and 2. I couldn't keep APP3's in my ears so I had to branch out, these hold very well and sound great. ANC is top notch.

Just got these from Costco and can confirm these are gen 1. No wireless charging. But noise cancelation is really good. Sound quality is way better than air pods. For 150, not bad at all.

Returned my air pod pros 3 for these. The sound is 2x better. I also like the wing tip fit more. ANC is the best out there.

I read issues with connectivity. I had it happen maybe one or two times but other than that they've been solid.

Sound core liberty 4nc and 5 are also good alternative if anyone looking. ANC isn't as good but great sound

I had the woot refurb. Very good ANC and sound. Comfortable too. Worth it. A step up from Jabra and Samsungs that I had in the past.

I got them on black and another on white for my wife, noise canceling is amazing, sound is very good, one of the best out there, connectivity is meh, they are confortable in your ears and stay put. now I have the AirPods Pro 3 which I like the sound better and ANC is a little better. for 150 if you have android and you like BOSE soundstage they are solid.

Why are the reviews so bad on Costco? It's a bit alarming.

I like the sound signature of Quietcomfort Ultra headphones Gen 1. How do these compare?

I purchased a pair from Dell for $256 and after about 6 months, it started to developed a scratchy noise. Returned under warranty back to Bose. The new pair developed the same problem. Volume was low, even though I had it at the highest setting, then the scratchy noise came back in the background, while listening to music. I was very surprised that such good brand and expensive earbuds can perform so poorly. They just sit at home and I rarely use them. It's not an enjoyable listening experience. I would not recommend.

Imo this is a great buy at this price. The connection issues are prevalent with quietcomfort ii and ultra gen 1 early builds, but if the issue doesn't appear then they work great. I guess you can return it if the issue appears since you will be covered by Costco return policy.
