Hi! I remember when they first came out and they always hovered around $30 so I refused to buy one. But I got one for around this price recently (but the shade is a solid black) and it is amazing!! Love the subtle scent, timer, and making use of my end of life candles :-)

I have it on timer for 8 hours everyday for last 3 weeks, works well, gets really hot so.using lower settings for candles, works great overall, no issues, they give you a spare bulb too.

Thank you. My daughter asked for one for her 22nd birthday a couple weeks ago. I'm sure she won't care that the top is different, as long as it gets the job done. If she doesn't like it, I'll keep it to melt chocolate for a little fondue/charcuterie nacho warmer.

I actually was torn about the top as well. Walmart has a Mainstays one that is only $7 and I really like the solid top since I don't like the light pollution.
