just fyi this is the 8000 series not the base model 6000. a bit more torque and the dual blade system is a marked upgrade over the base model.

One of the best EGO mower deals you'll see all year.

Community Reviews

This EGO 8000 series mower stands out for strong cutting power, self propulsion, and a dual blade setup that feels like a real upgrade over the base model. The 7.5Ah battery is often described as good for roughly 30 to 60 minutes, with fast charging around 40 minutes, and the mower handles thick grass, weeds, and even wet lawns better than expected. The main cautions are weight and battery longevity, since it is still a heavy machine and runtime drops in dense or tall grass. A practical pick for medium yards if you value electric convenience and can work within the battery limits.

Mine's doing great on its 3rd year. I'm expecting a lot more years. Great deal with the included batteries. I think I paid about the same with just a 6ah back when I got it.

I just ordered on Lowes and should get it tomorrow. My town has a $200 electric lawnmower rebate, so $700 (including Tax) -230 Battery return and -200 Rebate(only in my little town) . So net $270 for me super slick.

Mine just came in today and it did a great job on mowing my weeds/yard. I am thinking about trading the extra battery for a weed Wacker...

So the first Lowe's, I got the operations manager and she told me I had to return the whole combo... So I went to another store and they issued the credit for $236 for the 5AH battery. I then turned around and bought a multi " head" weed wacker with a 5AH battery and an additional "edge trimmer" attachement for $379 so an additional $140 for a weedwacker / edger. overall a good deal.

If you are willing to do some leg work, you can come out spending almost zero if you already have batteries.
700 with tax -230 battery return -250 sold battery on Facebook -80 sold charger on facebook -100 sold old ryobi mower on facebook =$40 for a new mower.

Same here. The difference is it does not include a bonus 5Ah battery.

Edit: price changes to $599 when selecting my zip code. Your price seems to be for your local area.

Just discovered why: Colorado offers a 30% instant discount on new electric-powered lawn equipment (mowers, blowers, trimmers, snow blowers) at specific retailers like Ace until the end of the year.

Note that this does include a free battery, you just have to add it to the cart in the "special offers" section of Ace.

Beware that Lowe's shipping is not free outside their local delivery zone. I tried to get a price match with Amazon and Ace which includes free shipping to my location and was given odd excuses why Lowe's will NOT match Amazon or Ace pricing. Expect to pay an extra $79 for delivery with Lowe's for the same items.

Not sure why Lowe's advertises price matching when they don't.

Has anyone tried returning the extra battery at Ace Hardware for a refund or it only works at Lowes and Amazon?

The reason I went BACK to gas.
I did the same for the same reason. However, the gas now seems to contain much more ethanol than my lawnmower(s) like to swallow, and I've been having all kinds of fuel-related issues
