"Prosecutors in the Department of Justice's antitrust division are also investigating whether TP-Link engaged in predatory pricing tactics, which involve selling goods below cost to wedge out competition, according to an April Bloomberg report."
Or in short Asus, Netgear, and other router lobbiest are paying their congress person a lot of money so they dont have to compete on price with TP-Link.
The cyberattack spin is nothing but a joke and cover up, as the same attacks were carried out by other brands routers as well just in smaller amounts since they dont sell as much as TP-Link, so it has ZERO credibility.

Researchers identified a botnet composed of roughly 14,000 devices—primarily ASUS routers—that are highly resistant to standard reboots and firmware updates, effectively acting as a "backdoor" for malicious activity
