I get $158.93, still a good deal, I got mine during the last sale for $149. Amazing machine, addictive to its core. I have been printing like crazy, got myself a set of PLA and PETG filaments. Works out of the box. Got it pretty quick (shipped within the US). Connected to WIFI and using Orca Slicer (GitHub version). It is a one color machine, but I have learned how to print two colors so far. Looking now at the Creator 5 Pro model!! LoL.

If you're at all interested in 3d printing I would jump on this deal. I also picked one up during the last sale for $150 and have been blown away by how easy it is to use and upgrade. I've already added a camera, led lights, and a full enclosure (Flashforge sells a kit) all for ~&60. I've only printed in PLA and PETG so far, but haven't had any issues. It also seems to be a pretty common machine, with lots of community support online if something does go wrong.

Thanks for this - I was leaning towards the 5m pro but with this on sale and being almost upgradeable to pro spec it seems like a good starter machine. I'll probably use mostly PETG and some ABS or ASA down the line once I get the enclosure kit. Won't be printing enough to need the filters etc of the pro.

Are you actually mad that they just shared a bit of extra info that is relevant to this deal?

Does the camera auto detect issues?
No, just remote monitoring and time lapse videos in the app.

Bought one at this price as my first printer and couldnt be happier. If you're on the fence just do it. Its actually crazy how good this machine is for this price. Setup is super easy. Just make sure to buy plenty of filament as you'll be burning through spools in no time.

Ugh, I recently got a Tina2 Plus and I'm still learning to use it. This is really tempting though it's twice as big as the Tina but I don't think I really needed to printers at the moment… That's a good price.

Never seen this before but it's reporting this can't be delivered to my address. Located in Washington. Anyone else have this issue?

My first printer was the Monoprice Cadet which was a version of the Tina. It was a surprisingly good printer to start with. The slicer was really limited but it also kept you out of trouble. That printer also taught me that masking tape is a cheat code for first layer adhesion. Also, if yours has the silent steppers then it was really a very quiet printer. Very little fan noise.

However, the 5M is just so much faster. The ~100mm cube of the Tina was very limiting. The 220mm cube is often good enough. While I do think the ~250-260mm cube of the newer "standard" size printers is a reasonable upgrade, I don't see it as a game changer. I had no prints that didn't fit on 220 but would fit on 255. That is why I ultimately got a 300mm Creality K1 max. My target project really needed the extra space.

Certainly I would say upgrade to this as I did almost 2 years back and at a higher price! The only hesitation I would have is should you get the FF with color changer for ~ $100 more.

I second all the good printer posts, excellent printer for the price. Does have like a proprietary slicer software suite that looks like orca but if you do the forge-x flash (which is super easy to do) it works just fine with orca. Been really happy with mine, printed lots of figure models. Some of them on the larger side as well just have to split them and then build them like a model kit. It's been fun.

When I enter the primo code, I receive this message:
"For security reasons your request can't currently be processed"

The price is still $171.65, but it would be too party $149.99.

Any Suggestions?

USDEAL23 does still work for me. Using an incognito/private window or another browser should hopefully let you use the code.

My ten year old really wants a 3d printer setup. Would this be a good beginner setup?

I used Orca with the stock firmware without issue (USB only). However, I did find a few default settings that prevented some of my work from printing correctly. I was trying to do a print where a series of single filament strands are formed (inspired by 3Dprintbunny's work https://www.printables.com/model/...m-the-rain). With my Ender 3 V3SE the print worked. With the FF it would work with Flashforge slicer (Kura based?) but not Orca. After looking at the Ender vs FF profiles in Orca I found some settings that were different and causing the slicer to ignore features under a given size (ie all my fine filaments).

BTW, that is a great example of how the default profile in the slicer vs the hardware could be the cause of an issue. That is something that Bambu seems to get right and in this case FF got wrong.

Also, another small "wrong" is with FF slicer the estimated time remaining is shown. For what ever reason the Orca profile doesn't generate the code needed to report time remaining. It still shows percent remaining but not time.

Maybe. I use my printers with my kids who are in that age range. My questions are how technical are you and are you interested in working with them to learn the slicer?

If you feel like you can learn to use the slicer etc then go for it. However, this is an area where Bambu really is a winner. Bambu's online model site not only offers the raw 3D files that anyone can slice with their own settings, they also allow you to slide the models on line using profiles that work with their printers. This is why you can do the print from the phone so well on their system. You pick the model, tell the host site what printer you are using and what material is loaded (presumably so of this is already reported to the mothership when you created the account). The host slices the model with settings recommended by the model creator (or someone) and sends it to your computer. Thus you don't have to know much if anything about slicing a model to get an output print. For those of us who started with 3D printers as a way to prototype things we designed ourselves, learning the slicer wasn't a big deal and with home printers its a requirement. However, if you just want to print models from online, well that is where the difference in ecosystem can matter quite a bit.
