The only thing I could see is that the tilt function may be slightly impaired with a larger size meaning the TV would touch the wall at the bottom most likely

Max VESA Mount dimensions of 400x400. Some 70s need 600x400

If you're paying for a 70, buy a better mount.

I replace TVs way more than mounts. I highly doubt what my 77" was rated for a 77" and it's a similar model. It works fine and I will lose zero sleep about it. It works perfectly fine and TV's weigh less as time goes on, not more.

With a 77" TV hanging from the wall, do you really want to risk it? I'm cheap, but if something is going to either get destroyed if it fails, or hurt someone...I'll pass on a deal. Get a stronger mount for peace of mind.

Maybe a few days late but I've wall mounted dozens of TVs in business and home settings, many with mounts that are rated for smaller TVs. As long as you're installing it correctly, the VESA pattern matches and you're not over the weight that the mount will support, you'll be fine.
