It should be better. K cups are light on coffee ground quantity. Making a pot allows you to add more than you'd get from a k cup

plus it's fresher as you'll be grinding when you use it. that's the best flavor.

Real coffee beans will always taste better than the crappy thin coffee colored water produced by K cups.

Peets Major Dickinson kcups are far from colored water, they are actually quite strong.

I almost bought a bag at full price yesterday. I decided not to as the best by day was 3/11/2027. From what I've researched the roast dates are 365 days from the best by dates. I hope my Costco gets new stock when they go on sale.

It seems like last month or two, they didn't have any discounted coffee like they usually do. So will probably stock up on at least two of these Peets bags! I got desperate and bought a 1lb bag of Peets from Amazon "on sale" first week of April for $10 which is still more than a 2.2lb bag in a Costco sale.

My store has a great grinder. Costco at Centerville OH.
I buy online and grind in the store.

The answers already posted are correct here. Beans are the best if you have time and a grinder.

However, I do not suggest grinding the whole bag though. It won't be nearly as good as when you grind enough per pot as you go.

You are right about that. One of the few Kcups that is not far off from a regular pot of coffee.

Usually a couple months not year. Freeze in smaller bags ... whole bean ... then take out and defrost when needed to stretch a large bag. That's what i do ... James Hoffman French press method only ChatGPT on Freeze/defrost ideas then store small batch for week in vacuum container.

$7.5 per lb is still too high. I thought tariffs were struck down by SCOTUS.
