Depends entirely on the square footage you intend to blow clean. On my half acre lot I usually stick to a 5ah battery for the blower, unless I'm only cleaning lawn clippings off the pavement. When there are also any leaves to speak of (which is year-round with big live oaks) the 2.5 does not provide enough runtime. It's plenty for the string trimmer, though.

I own this. I use mine for basic tasks. Drying off the car, blowing out the garage and around the house. The 2.5 battery works fine for these tasks. If your planning on actually blowing leaves with it I would opt for the 675 with a bigger battery or the 765 with 2 batteries.

I have the 650 CFM blower and a string trimmer. I also have a legit 4Ah battery and 2.5Ah and a knockoff 3.5Ah (which is much closer to a 2.5Ah). I would not recommend an Ego blower with less than a 4Ah battery.

The center of mass also significantly improves with a larger battery imo easier to handle and angle than with a 2.5
