Lenovo has the Z2 Non-Extreme 16gb model back in stock for $1199.99 down from their increased price of $1599.99. With a student account or work affiliate account, the price comes out to $1071.99. I understand many of you will disagree with the pricing and not find it a "good deal" but if you are someone like me who has been waiting for a deal on the 32gb Z2 Extreme only for the price to go up to $2000.00, you may be interested in this grabbing this model at this price.

You can also watch ETA Prime's comparison on Youtube between the z2 and z2 extreme and the difference was very small. Definitely not worth an extra $900 based on the current pricing imo...

Plus, those detachable controllers are too gimmicky and don't look comfortable to hold.
I got the Z1E 32gb Legion Go S at Walmart for $650 (new) and added 3 or 4 years extended warranty, a while back. I like it for the bigger screen that the Ally/X plus, more ram than both.

I have the Z2E with 32GB and it's pretty much a no-compromise handheld gaming PC, great screen, great speakers and good performance (it's no Strix Halo but it plays most things fine). Battery life is not bad, even with the screen maxed out and a 35W TDP on the APU I can get around 2 hours, but you can get a lot more by tweaking settings. Wish they'd have given the Z2 model either 20 or 24GB of RAM, would be an easy recommendation at that point, but for this kind of price I'd stay away. At best you'll have 6GB of VRAM and 10GB of system memory which just isn't enough in a lot of cases. Might manage to get 8GB of VRAM and 8GB of system memory to work with Xbox Full Screen Experience, but mine sits at 10GB without having anything but LegionSpace, the Xbox app and Steam open.
Also, as mentioned by others, there aren't many updates coming from Lenovo. They finally updated the graphics drivers, but the version is several months old. It did fix Elden Ring crashing, which is nice. I haven't had many issues with drivers, but for such and eye-wateringly expensive device you'd expect a bit more support. But if it isn't broke, don't try to fix it, I guess. Not sure how much longer Lenovo will keep making these. I can't see them being too popular at the current prices. At $1,600 and $2,000, I'd imagine they're making some sort of profit, but they're not longer selling out instantly.
It's a shame they're so unaffordable, they're incredible pieces of technology, almost feels futuristic using one. Hopefully prices come back down a bit and we see this model below the $1,000 mark. Really would like the handheld gaming PC market to grow, but it can't if prices stay as high as they are. Same goes for PC gaming as a whole.
