This $199.05 price point is a little better than the usual $200 price on the "fee-free" $200 Visa virtual gift cards, but the same cart subtotal rule is in effect where the $1,000 maximum of gift cards in a single transactions is applied towards the subtotal before all discounts. As such, if you throw five of these into your cart, Staples will claim that this is over $1,000 of gift cards and ask you to remove at least one in order to go under the limit and process your order.
Staples processes their own gift card orders, so paying with a credit card that earns well at office supply stores will give you the expected rewards off of this, but you won't earn any Staples store rewards.

"The Visa® Virtual Gift Card can be redeemed online everywhere Visa debit cards are accepted in the U.S. Internet"

Not true for my municipal water/sewer/garbage fees.

I miss the Sapphire 50% boost .. still tempted
So true. I know the best exchange is hotels but I dont use hotels so I still have about $8000 of the 1.5 that I will probably use on cruises if chase has competitive prices. The new points will probably go to airline points like jetblue, i think they are still worth about 1.35 there. What am I doing wrong? Is that the best use of chase points? I am still accumulating points. Pay at least 20k a year with these gift cards. Ty tu

Deal is dead. Glad I got the max. Hopefully it's back sooner than 10 weeks.

I don't know - we spent close to everything while it was still 50% bonus, it was just easier that way. If you're a legacy cardholder I think your points earned by 10/2025 hold the 50% bonus until 10/2027.

Right now, seriously thinking about downgrading it because it's getting hard to squeeze value out of it. I can park my leftover points either on my Ink or my Freedom and wait. Trying to time a Points Boost is not ideal - when I see a travel deal I want to capitalize on it not wait for a Points Boost then look for a deal.

Oh well, it's only a 95 cents discount anyway, and it's not the physical card which limits the use. I thought I had a week to get this.
