Thanks for posting. Been waiting for either these or the Ultra's to go on sale. In for a Twilight Blue set (because the wife nixed Sandstone for me, lol).
Received these as a gift at the end of 2024 - great while they worked. Eventually started getting a crackling noise from them, which I suspect is the wiring going bad between the headband and the right earpiece, where the ear piece swivels. Unusable after ~15 months. First Bose product I've owned and always felt their products are overhyped and overpriced.
Bose seriously needs to make their mind up about their naming conventions. This appears to be their standard flagship model that came out in 2023 though. Currently $200 on Bose's website, possibly less if their email signup 10% coupon works on that supposed sale price.
I have an older version and Bose's rep for comfort and great noise cancellation is warranted in my opinion.
Sound profile is what you might call "consumer." Bass is a bit higher than a "flat" profile and that's popular with most people, myself included.
Yeah you can likely do a bit better in many aspects at a lower cost but my personal experience is that the Bose route is the simple and reliable one. I'm tempted by this deal but my much older models show little sign of wear and these refurb deals tend to come around pretty regularly.

Do you think it was because sweat and dropping or something? I'm concerned using this as a daily driver at gym, since they do seem a bit frail in that build regard.

I'm using them passively - couch surfing YouTube vids on my laptop. I do pull them off by grabbing the right earpiece and giving a twist of my head, which TBF might be the root cause of my issue.
