Why though? Just buy a used one that has a dead battery on marketplace for like $20 and then either get a new battery or convert it to use power tool batteries for like $15. When you convert it to whatever power tool batteries you have, you can vacuum endlessly always on High, which is amazing.

I have it, works great. Get the animal one so you can do carpet and hardwood. I would use a robot vacuum though and buy this as a back up.

Really? You can vacuum on high? So is that problem only contained to the battery that comes with the Dyson?

Not seeing anything. Perhaps you can link this imaginary $20 dyson with nothing else wrong with it other than battery and close to me..

I have the v8 and the v10. Both excellent. I used the v8 today to effortlessly vacuum my entire first floor after my in-laws brought their short haired dog. The low setting was enough but I used the high setting for the rugs. Worked fantastic! And it's over 6 years old. I've used it several times a week since I bought it. I highly recommend.

We bought a refurbished dyson about 6 years ago and it's still working.
One thing that we replaced is the battery.

the button thing is actually very easy to fix. remove battery (3 screws). you'll see that the red button pushes down on the switch on the battery. it gets worn down over time b/c of design flaw. all i did was take a tiny clear rubber sticker pad (like at bottom of things so they don't slip), put tiny bit of super glue and you can either adhere to the switch or easier, to the button on the battery to make it thicker. now when you reassemble and push button, it pushes the battery on easier and activates vacuum easier.

Sure, where do you live? I could give you endless links from ebay, but those are generally a bit more due to shipping. You are apparently incapable of checking marketplace for your region, so I'll do it for you.
