This open box Galaxy Book5 Pro stands out as a thin 14 inch OLED Windows laptop with a sharp 3K 120 hertz touchscreen, strong Intel Ultra 7 performance, and very good battery life for everyday use and light gaming. The screen and overall build get the most praise, and several pickup units arrived looking nearly new, sometimes with only residue, stickers, or a missing power adapter. The main cautions are the soldered 16 gigabytes of RAM, which feels limiting for heavier multitasking, and repeated concern about fragile AMOLED screen cracking. Open box warranty handling also needs attention, especially on Best Buy units.

I suggest only buying laptop with a decent dedicated graphics card. IGPU's are too limited.
Not everyone is gaming on their laptop. There is no reason for a dedicated GPU for webrowsing and using microsoft products. The battery life with an iGPU is much better and the dedicated graphics costs more.

I ran a battery report, and it shows only one cycle count.Despite the fact it is listed as good condition. Not even excellent. The battery life is 97%. As such, this deal is insane so happy with that purchase. I guess I got lucky.
One cycle count and 97% battery health doesn't make sense. Sometimes it doesn't get reported as a cycle unless it's drained a certain amount. It could have been a display unit that was plugged in 24/7. Use something like crystaldiskinfo and check the cycles on the SSD to get the best picture on how the laptop was used.

Thanks a lot! Is this a website or software that I need to download? Is it safe?

DGPU and the IGPU employ a hybrid system to manage power and performance. The iGPU handles light tasks (browsing, desktop) to save battery, while the dGPU activates for heavier tasks. It depends on what apps you are opening basically it's the best of both worlds. Battery life is not an issue anymore. Trust me you'll regret not having the horsepower when it's needed.

if a laptop has 256v and doesn't say anything about a dedicate GPU (like Nvidia) then it's most certainly integrated 140v. RAM is soldered to the board not upgradable.
Ok. I understood it is integrated. I worded my question incorrectly. Thats on me. I just wasn't sure if the AG 140v came in different variants, like how some laptop GPUs like my Nvidia MX350 comes in different versions. They have different wattage limits & you''ll normally find the less powerful but cooler running version in the thinner laptops with only passive cooling while the fastest ones are reservede for laptops with better active cooling. Many times, they won't even specify which version you're getting unless you dig deep into the specifications. Basically, not all MX350s are created equal, and I didn't know if this was the same for this Intel GPU. But anyways outside of all that, the soldered 16gb is a dealbreaker for me.

I agree, One cycle count and 97% battery health doesn't make sense. A cycle count is when the bat is discharged to zero then back to full, but 2 discharges to 50% & back to 100% also count as 1 cycle, and discharging to 80% 5 times also counts as 1 cycle and so on.

The point is, some people will never need it. So it's unnecessary for those people.

I understand what a suggestion is, but IMHO suggesting something to someone that will cost them more money but won't offer any additional benefits because of how they'll be using it is a poor suggestion. Why pay more when it won't offer you a better experience?.. ie,. my grandma that only uses her laptop to shop on Amazon, do Facebook, check and send email, etc etc won't benefit from a better GPU, so why would she want to pay more for one? This should be pretty simple to understand.

open box laptops @ best buy - if you get one buy the two year warranty from Best Buy if they offer it. These have burned me. But that is a great price otherwise.

Picked up an Open Box - Good and overall, the laptop is just about in perfect shape. The only issue I found was the sticker on the bottom had kind of melded the glue to the bottom of the laptop. It's not possible to get it off. But the unit outside of that is in new condition. Great pickup for the price.

Saw one in my area on 5/15, ordered online and picked up hours later. I've been trying to land one for a couple of weeks and am REALLY glad I finally got a chance. I picked up a "good" one for just under $650 out the door! The box tag stated the condition as "residue", but I was easily able to clean that off for a totally "flawless" unit.
Still has full warranty? THANK YOU BEST BUY!
