It kind of looks like Motorola did another switcharoo with the 2025 model (like they did back in 2021 or whenever that was) and put a lower powered CPU in the 2025 compared to the 2024 version. The 2024 says it has the Dimensity 7020 while the 2025/2026 have a Dimensity 6300.

Prior to year policy change I would have grabbed this. Don't need a lot of minutes or data, but now... Infimobile often has 5GB/month with unlimited talk and text for only $10 more for the year. TF year plans, even with the bundled phones, just not worth it anymore if the phone cannot be unlocked for a year.

The phone isn't great to the point. I miss my 2020 or 2022 phone that it replaced. The finger print scanner is meh along with the battery. Video chatting on Instagram is a lot worse too.

If you want the phone then yes. A couple months ago I got a two pack of flip phones on QVC that will extend for two more years. They were $32 with new customer coupon code.

Yes, Target (and Best Buy) sells them. Target has deals (5-10% off) about every 4-5 weeks.

Thanks, I went ahead and ordered and got the phone delivered next day. Already activated. Seems snappy enough for my use case. This is a backup phone for a very senior citizen (97yrs). My dad seems to be going through a phone every 6 months or so. Don't know what he's doing if anything but the battery keeps bulging enough to pop open the case. He's on his 3rd phone in 2 yrs. I just gave him a new moto a month ago so this will be a backup.
