The pink color is an industry standard that identifies the filter type.
They make a blue filter as well but it's a different type of filter. Blue is pretty much only good for dust. While the pink is a higher efficiency and is capable of filtering lead, asbestos, oil etc.
Although I wouldn't recommend even using the pink ones for that. I would use organic vapor cartridges with pre filters.
Anyway if you are looking at them for cosplay or something and not functionality then you could get the blue ones

How can you trust this with Amazon's co-mingled products?

You can't. Better go to local store and PM to Amazon

what's the price history on this, is $4 per filter really a "deal"

rufus says it's never been over $10 for the set

actually have a p100 from the 2020 scary days with thousands of people dropping dead daily pre-vax

I have gotten these in the past, they are a bit more expensive though.

3M 6001 OV for solvents/oil based paint/spray paint
https://a.co/d/0g6FFfLt

If you need dust protection plus solvent/oil based paint
3M 60921 ov/p100
https://a.co/d/0dbcQfkW

Water based paints (most) you don't need a respirator unless your creating dust. Then a n95 or p100.

I did not search best prices, just giving links, and some basic knowledge.

Well, then it sounds like this sale is getting rid of co-mingled items.

Meaning that there is zero genuine product available, it is 100% knock-off?
