How do you get the top up in the air when installing if it weighs 700lbs?

They are all individual pieces which can be lifted easily.

I've been going back and forth between this and the aluminum version.

We bought the 10x12 version a couple months ago. Easy to install and we love it on our patio!

looks like aluminum is more sturdy (longer warranty and higher wind rating) and about 150lb lighter

as the other person mentioned, lighter, stronger, extra 1 year warranty but $800ish more.

Single layer galvanized vs double layer aluminum and obviously the above replies.

The real win with aluminum is its the corrosion resistance if you live near the ocean.
