I don't know how old it is, but it's Freaking Spectacular. I used some to keep my boots together and it lasted a Lot longer than I expected. ;P

It's been around quite a while. It's a lot sticker and more forgiving of surface grime. But it often does not pull off clean.

Only duct tape I'll buy would have to be labelled "super strong" or something like this because standard duct tape imo was lacking
