Nope! Unloaded those last weekend. Still have 3 old Black and Decker 12v batteries for the next 3 trade in events, too!
I have a Black & Decker drill that has a battery built into it. Does this qualify?

It would be up to the Craftsman reps to make that call. Definitely worth a shot to at least try.

So got the battery. Now which tool shall I pick? I already own drill, impact drill, impact wrench, circular saw, ratchet, multi-tool, chainsaw, sheet sander...
I am torn between 10" polisher and reciprocating saw (or a router). Maybe my 6.5" circular saw can be used in occasions where the reciprocating saw is needed?
Any suggestions?

Just completed my exchange at the Otay Lakes store in Chula Vista. A new directive came down instructing the Craftsman reps to NOT start early, because I guess some people complained that they ran out of batteries and coupons before 10 AM. I got in line just a few minutes before 10 AM with about a dozen people in front of me. I'd say over half of the freebies were wiped out within the first 5 minutes. This is my 3rd battery and coupon haul. There's 2 more events scheduled in the San Diego area, and I still have 2 old batteries left to exchange. Good times.

I'd recommend going with this BOGO deal and snagging the router or recip saw. If you don't need the extra batteries just sell them locally. They should be able to sell for about $60.00. https://www.lowes.com/pd/CRAFTSMA...5013353191

Finally completed my battery exchange at the 2nd attempt.
The 1st try (Sunnyvale CA store) I went at 12pm, they said the stock ran out in 15 mins.
2nd try (San Bruno CA store) I was there when store open at 6am, waited 4 hours at 2nd in line. The rep will only start at 10am, but there are already ~15 people in line before the start time. The process was simple and quick. Expect the stock to be exhausted in 10 mins, as each time the rep will only bring 1 box for the exchange (about 20-25).
Worth mentioning, 3 hours into the wait asked an associate about the event, they told me the event is not happening since Craftsman never confirmed.
That threw me into a frantic panic!!! I told them their store was on the event list, but they kept mentioning they don't publish the list, and there'll be no events until the vender confirms.
Asked the store manager who then called the Craftsman rep to confirm the visit, which puts me at ease that my time wasn't wasted!
Was worried the $50 coupon received may not work as it was a print out on printer paper. The rep assured it would work. I also confirmed with the next patron to verify the codes are indeed different.
Was able to use the code online for the BOGO purchase.

Did the exchange the other day in Eagle Idaho. About the easiest process for an exchange as you'd imagine. Got there around 10:30am and the was one gent in front of me. The agents were obvious with craftsman and dewalt polos. They asked if I was there for the battery exchange and I said yes. Gave them an old M12 1.5a battery which I got plenty of and they handed me the battery kit and coupon. Simple as that. I didn't use the coupon as I didn't know that to get that day. Tested it online and it worked fine. Super happy with how it worked out.

At Lowes on Brokaw Rd in San Jose, they didn't start the Giveaway until 10 am.

There was about 25 people waiting in line and they all got taken care of. But by 10:05 am they had ran out of coupons and the batteries didn't look like they were going last much longer either.

Lowes is such a Clusterfook.

would you try to post the free battery, which is 3mah but "advanced" or the 2 pack batteries from BOGO?

I'd keep that 3 Ah battery. It's got tabless cells. It's a beast.

Craftsman didn't show up today (Lowe's--Hawthorne). Jose, a store employee, said he got no email or call about the event being cancelled. Jose called the SBD rep but got no answer.

About a dozen came to the non-event and waited, and waited, and waited. We talked about power tools, gophers, and raccoons.

SBD, if you're reading this, we left our contact info with Jose.
