Edit: there are other giftcard deals too like Instacart but it seems like Uber is in most demand. They're still in stock as of right now.

Just worked for me. Went to Account -> Send a Gift.

Bought $100 for $85, easy as pie. now that Costco has stopped selling Uber gift cards for 20% off, this seems to be about as good as you can do!

I've spent the last hour trying to buy gift cards. No matter what I do, or which card I use, it says "We've detected a problem. there was an error processing your request. Please visit in-app help for assistance" I've tried 10 different cards (including some new to Uber) and two different phones. I uninstalled the app in my main phone, and reinstalled it, with no luck.
