This is alright but unfortunately I missed the Samsung deal for those free (effectively) with trade in S26s. Anyone know if those deals may circle back?
Not until next year. They were subsidized by Samsung

I believe if you order online, you pay in full now (minus the $300 discount), they send you the phone, you mail your trade-in in, and they credit your card the ~$400+ I highly recommend going in store as you can pick up the phone today, do the trade-in, and only pay the ~$299 + tax right now. No waiting on shipping, no mailing in your phone, it's all handled in-store.The entire process (trade in, setting up new phone, transferring all my data to the new phone) took about 75 minutes in store. Less if you don't want them to xfer your data from your old phone
Did you do it yourself the rep is saying 400 is always an account credit

I did it myself, I went in the store and paid in full for the phone ($299ish plus tax), no credits involved

I was told that the options were:
Pay in full up front ($999 -$300 -$400 = $299 plus tax), or have it added to my monthly bill (spread across 2/3/4 years), but if I went that route and then decided to pay it off later, I would need to pay the full $299 plus tax (even if I already paid $100 in monthly payments) and the balance ($100) would be added as a credit to my account

Doing it in store and paying in full seemed to make the most sense to me. I probably wouldn't have done it if it was going to be added as credits and I had to pay in full

The mail in trade in by Assurant is one of the most poorly ran operations I have ever used.
For the Galaxy S26 I traded in an iPhone 12 Pro.
Ordered the phone - May 1
Requested box - May 1
Request status of box - May 8, and told to wait.
Request to reprint label, but neither Assurant nor Spectrum can reprint label, so ticket opened. - May 10
Return box arrives, and trade-in sent in. - May 16
Assurant emails new label - May 18
Phone received by Assurant on 5/21.
But, they don't have record because they attached everything to the new label sent on May 18.
This is a bone headed company.

First store I went to told me that i could only get it via ship to home. Told me my account was "flagged" so that I could only do ship to home. That was BS. I think they didn't have any in stock.
So I left and went to another store.

At the other store, everything was fine and i got my new Pixel 10 Pro after doing pay in full minus trade in.

I thought maybe it would be unlocked, but expectedly it was locked.
So I will wait my 60 days.

Last thing to note, I knew the Pixel 10 Pro would come with a free trial year of Google AI Pro. I thought it would also come with one year of Youtube Premium Lite, but if you read the fine print, it says that it is not valid if you have a free trial. I got all the other "free benefits" but no youtube premium lite.

So just be aware there's no free youtube premium lite with this phone.

I have many photos and videos of kids and whatnot from past 5 or so years and they add up, especially when recording in 4k, average file size for even 5 mins of video is a few GB. So they add up
every single camera photo I take is immediately backed up to Google Photos. If I ever lose my phone, I lose 0 photos. Ever.
I have watched 10+ people i know lose 1000's of videos and photos over the past 5 years from refusing to buy iCLoud storage for their iphones.

lost every kid photo

why would you do this

That is a new offer that they started making for those who already subscribed or are new ones prior to last weeek.

Also, I have a Family YT plan that IO share with 4 friends + wife. They pay me 1 t ime a year for their share of it ahead of time, so no haggling ever

i never even watched many YT videos back 5+ Years ago on my phone but i do more and more now from ease of use

They didn't say my account was flagged, instead they told me it was out of stock!! And there is only one store in the area!!! And I don't want to do the online route

How did you actually get to activate any of the "free" Google Services they advertise are included at no cost. I never got an email about this and their CS doesn't seem to know anything about activation. TIA
